Appalling: Basic School pupils demonstrate against locals over rampant defecation in their classrooms
Pupils of Ansah-Redeen Basic School in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region today embarked on a demonstration against continuous defecation in their classrooms by unscrupulous persons in the community.
According to the school children, they are forced to scrub human faeces every day and clean pieces of smoked weed, cigarettes and used condoms as perpetrators also have sex in the classrooms, a situation they say affects teaching and learning for teachings hours used to sanitize the affected classrooms.
They are therefore calling on authorise to build a fence wall to prevent perpetrators from intruding on the school campus.
Meanwhile, the Deputy PTA chairman of the School, Mr. Salifu Dawood who was surprised about the strange bunches of faeces in 4 classrooms that has been smeared on blackboards said the menace is very worrying.
Mr. Salifu Dawood speaking with Rich Fm and Angel Fm/TV reporter Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack called on Hon Kennedy Agyapong, MP, for the area and the MCE for the Municipality, Hon. Nicholas Fiifi Baako to complete an abandoned 3 unit classroom block and fix doors of the schools to ward off perpetrators.
