Breaking news: Breastfeeding mother crushed to death, 8 others injured in accident in Kumasi
A breastfeeding mother in her 30s (name not yet known) was crushed to death in a car accident involving a trailer with registration number GM 9671-13, a Kia Pregio (Trotro) with number AS 3989-20 and a Nissan with number GW 9771-16 at Anloga Junction in the Oforikrom Municipal of the Ashanti Region.
Eight (8) other people who were on board in the both trotro cars were injured as 4 are severe with about 11 month child of the deceased have been refered from the Tech hospital to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for furthere treatment.
When speaking with Angel Tv/fm News reporter Bismark Mensah, some of the victims who were not seriously hurt said the trailer driver earlier engaged one of the affected trotro drivers in a furious exchange of words from Boadi junction and in the heated exchange of words threatened to kill or crush the trotro driver to death in line of his duty.
They confirmed that the deceased who had reached her destination and was dragged by the trailer as the trailer driver intentionally knocked his truck against the affected cars and she died instantly
The trailer driver and his mate are currently in the grips of the Oforikrom Police Station to assist in further investigation.
