But a visit to KTI by Silver FM’s Akwadaa Nyame, some of the parents expressed frustration over lack of placement for their wards. They told our reporter that, their issues are yet to be resolved despite visiting the center early as possible.

Madam Juliet Akowuah whose ward obtained an aggregate of 15, said she has been trying to get a change of school for her daughter who has been placed at Obuasi as a day student.

She noted that despite her frantic efforts since he came to the centre, she is yet to have her issue resolved.

“My boy, if I had brought her here maybe he will collapse because his colleagues who had 22 and 30 all have schools. But for him, no school chose him. Right now, somebody called me that if I have GH₵5,000 he will do it for me,” Another parent disclosed.

According to the disturbed parent, a person who is not an official at the centre contacted her that he will be able to resolve her matter if she is willing to pay with the amount.

Another parent, Mr Kwame Ampofo Michael disclosed the stress he has had to endure after her son who obtained aggregate 28 was not placed in a school by the system.

“I came from Sefwi Debiso. My wife is sick but I have to leave her all alone and come here with my daughter to make some changes in her placement. She is just 16 years and was placed at Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem SHS as a day student. “How can a small girl like my daughter leave alone”. This situation is stressing me out. My daughter is refusing to eat and is insisting that he wants to go to school,” he said.
