Man, 60, lynched to death by wife

A 60-year old man, Kobbie Brown has been lynched to death by his believed to be 50 years old wife at Gomoa Nkwantanan in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

A Fourteen (14) year old step daughter of the deceased, explaining the unfortunate incident to the press said, her mother left the house in the early hours of Tuesday after a stern warning to her (daughter) not to sweep the compound of the house in her absence.

The disheartened daughter continued that, few minutes after the mother left the house, she heard screaming and wailing emanating from the compound of their house.

Being inquisitive, she opened the door to witness what was going on.

” I came out only to see some nearby neighbours shouting and crying. And to my surprise, I approached closer, only to see my step dad’s lifeless body forcibly pushed in the middle of building blocks parked in front of our house whiles my mother was no where to be found at that time”.

However, the suspect, later came to the scene including two family members accompanied by an ambulance.

When interrogated by the assembly member of Budumburam Electoral area, Hon. Lot Arthur, the other two relatives elaborated that, the suspect had come to inform them in the morning that, her husband has passed on therefore, coming with the ambulance to convey the body to the morgue.

Currently, the suspect is in the custody of the Awutu Beraku District Police Command to assist with information whiles the body of the deceased has been deposited at Winneba Hospital for autopsy and preservation.

But, information picked up by newsmen from the house after thorough investigation to asertain the root cause of the matter unearthed that, the ex husband of the suspect would be touching down in Ghana soon from the United Kingdom (UK) and arrangements have been made between the two lovebirds to reunite.

And to get easy access to settle with her UK ex, Kasoa Brown had to leave her life therefore, allegedly lynching him with a stick to death.

Meanwhile, Hon. Lot Arthur, the assembly member for Buduburam Electoral Area has used the opportunity, appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to put stringent measures in the area to curb rampant criminal activities.
