Pay us our 3 months arrears now!- 2021 NTT service personnels chase Gov’t as landlords chase them

The 2021 Newly Trained Teachers (NTT) Service Personnels are demanding their three months allowance arrears i.e October, November and December from Government. According to the frustrated teachers, their landlords are chasing them over unpaid utilities.
The personnels across the Sixteen Regions in the country are therefore calling on the leadership of the Scheme to as a matter of urgency settle their unpaid 3 months arrears.
Speaking to Filasco DeGeneral on grounds of anonymity, some of the personnels disclosed that, they completed their mandatory services on 30th November, 2021 but say National Service Scheme (NSS) is yet to pay their remaining allowances.
Thus, lamenting that, Christmas has approached and they have stucked at their various points of service with no money to return to their destination to celebrate the Yuletide with their family and loved ones adding that, their house owners also evicting them.
“We’re stranded at our various service localities owing rents, water bills, light bills etc.”.
They revealed that some of their colleagues are even owed 4-5-months by the government.
