VIDEO: Residents Suspect Foul Play In The Death Of 2 Young men
The residents of Anwiafutu in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region are upset with the security guards at Atwima Mponua government’s forest reserve after the sadden demise of two young men.
Two young men identified as Kwabena Anane, 18, and his friend Pee(20) met their untimely demise in River Offin at Anwiafutu on Monday January 30, 2023.
They were chased by the security guards after they went to mine illegally in the forest reserve in the area.
Through the hot chase, these two young men fell into the River Offin and drown.
However, the residents in the community are angry after the retrieval of the two bodies on Tuesday January 31, 2023.
According to videos sighted by Filasconews.com, the angry residents tagged the security guards including the police among them as unprofessional.
They said there were bruises and a swollen neck on the bodies, which according to them means they two were beaten by security.

However, it is not clear now, whether the young men were intentionally thrown into the River or it was an accident.
They people suspect foul play.
