E/R: Paramount Chief and his people construct their road
The paramount chief of Yakoko, Barima Okata Amoah (II) together with his people has constructed a road network in the community.
Speaking to Power Fm’s reporter Emmanuel Adjetey, Barima Okata Amoah II said government alone can’t do it hence joining hands with his people to constructing the road.
He disclosed that the road has been abandoned for years hence doing his part as a good citizen and a leader to support the government by constructing the road together with his people.
He said successive governments have refused to construct the road for them.
“When we all support ourselves in the community, I think we can do almost everything on our own without relying solely on the government”, he added.
He continued his vision for the Yakoko community as a Chief is development and he will make sure he fetched massive developmental projects for the community.
The community happens to be a farming community and every farming community needs better roads to convene their products to the market thereby their move.
Nana appealed to the government to deliver the needed projects to Ayensuano Constituency, Yakoko and Kwadwo Fosu.
He said the Government has ignored their communities for a very long time adding that this is the right time for the people living in the community to come together to develop the towns.
He said government should take advantage of what the people in the community are doing to come and support them.
He used the occasion to advising the youths in the community to lead a good life as Christmas is approaching.
Not forgetting the teenage girls of Yakoko and Kwadwo Fosu, he advised them to abstain from early sex and other unwanted behaviours.
He called on all Ghanaians to come and support their communities in terms of development.
Some of the community members also expressed their appreciation to Barima Okata Amoah II for his efforts in the construction of the road.
