The Lawyer for the Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye and the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Ansu Kumi in the application for contempt of court against Abronye DC and others, Lawyer Kofi Iddrisssah has openly informed the court on Monday that, Sunyani East Constituency has no polling station, electoral area Coordinators register let alone an album containing polling station and Electoral area Coordinators.
Abronye DC the Bono Regional Chairman and Ansu kumi, the Municipal chief Executive including others who were responsible for the organizing, management, conduct of the Sunyani East polling station and Electoral area Coordinators Elections Early this year February 2022 were cited for contempt of court for violating the High Court order which set aside the purported elected sunyani East Constituency polling station and Electoral area Coordinators on the 11th May, 2022.
The Lawyer Iddrisssah who represented Abronye and others speaking before the judge said there has not yet been any election in the sunyani East Constituency because the sunyani East Constituency has suffered from High court injunctions as far back as February, 2022.
This interesting revelation amazed everyone in the court room and could not believe in the palpable falsehood and lies by Abronye and the MCE for sunyani including the other respondents.
Meanwhile, the supervising High Court judge, His Lordship Baryeh has set 5th December to determine the fate of Abronye DC and others and to rule on the contempt application.
Again, Sunyani East Constituency Elections regarding any purported polling station and Electoral area coordinators Elections has been set aside indefinitely.
