Bakers Cry Out, Call On Gov’t For Support Over ‘Osain Boat’ Increment(AUDIO)
Bread Bakers Association of Ghana, Mankessim Branch are crying out over high increment on bread commodities.
They revealed in an interview today with the press that, ingredients for baking bread have increased hugely like the fastest 100 meter runner, Osain Boat.
They are therefore calling on the Goveenment to as a matter of urgency reduce prices on petroleum products such as fuel(petrol).
Adding that, the regular increment on fuel has accounted to the dwindling of their baking work, citing high cost of transportation, buying of gases ect. as a major setback hitting their businesses currently.
They revealed that, “sugar, nut Meg, flour, margarine and many others have increased to the extent that, we make no profit at the end of the day”.
“Government used to offer us flour and some other ingredients to support the baking business but now, it is not coming, pls, help us by bringing it back”, they appealed.
