The Alliance of Driver Ghana have stated that, is illegal for other commercial transport operators to threaten lorry fare increment.

It is very illicit and unacceptable for some group of drivers to decide for themselves when to increase transport fares whiles the government and other regulatory bodies have not done so.

Petrol prices is selling for as low as 6.600pesewas at goil oil and 6.500pesewas at some fuel
stations across the country.

It is visible that whiles the government is bent on fixing the economy, we should know as citizens that we can only achieve this by also fixing ourselves and not try to take advantage to dupe the ordinary Ghanaian all in the name of making people believe some illusionary hardship.

The alliance therefore wishes to inform all well-meaning Ghanaians that any driver or group of drivers that increases fares without adhering to the directives from the government or the appropriate regulatory bodies must be reported and dealt with hence Ghanaians must treat the supposed 40% increment with the utmost contempt it deserves.
Thank you.
