Constitution Day: Parliamentarians have been boycotting and fighting in Parliament like kindergarten kids- EAI Boss slams
“We have multiplied our possessions but we have reduced our values”
Fellow Ghanaians, Today, 7th January, 2022 is constitution day in Ghana, and it is observed as a public holiday. EAI do not know how to put it whether it’s a happy day or sad day. Also, there wouldn’t be productivity in the country due to the holiday.
And, one would thoughtfully interrogate, how far with the democratic governance? We understand that the constitution is in question.
Parliamentarians have been trespassing, revolting, boycotting and fighting in the Parliament house like kindergarten kids and nothing has happened to them, yet we say “no one is above the law”. Look, they have shamed the country globally instead of shaping the country. Now, to you, our leaders, act as serious generational leaders and not those who always spoon feed their brains, with all due respect.
However, if we want to experience proper democratic governance with assiduousness, we must do the following;
1. Review the 1992 constitution.
Thereafter, the mandate given to our President to appoint the below people must be revoked for proper check and balance in governance.
b. Major General.
c. Auditor General.
d. Chief Justice.
e. EC Chairperson.
f. Attorney General.
Moreover, we must be very serious and change these insanity act that inhibits selfless governance.
a. Party Secretary and Chair must not be part of the cabinet.
b. IGP must not participate in party meetings.
c. Ex- Gracia review.
2. Secondly, Introduction of National Policy as a road map.
3. Change of attitudes through citizenship education.
