Just in: CETAG declares indefinite nationwide strike today

All the teachers in the Forty Six (46) Colleges of Education in the country have declared strike today, January 6,2022.

A statement signed by both President and National Secretary of the teacher Union states that, government has failed to implement the 2017-2020 conditions of service as agreed.

Therefore, their indefinite nationwide strike today.

“In an emergency National Council Meeting of the College’s of Education Teachers’ Association, Ghana (CETAG), on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, the National Council Unanimously agreed to embark on indefinite strike effective today, Thursday, January 6,2022, across all the 46 public Colleges of Education in the country”, the statement signed by the National President, Mr. Prince Obeng Hemang and the National Secretary, Mr. Nathan Ohene Gyan said.
