DO3 Peter Addai, the Ashanti Regional Fire Service Public Relations Officer and also the Safety Officer has revealed that, no casualty was recorded at the Tafo Ahenbronum fire incident yesterday in the Old Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
But, the Fire Officer was quick to adding this morning in an interview on Silver FM’s morning show chaired by Kwabena Wireko popularly known as the Unofficial Lawyer that, Eleven out of Fourteen bedrooms touched by the inferno have been ravaged by the fire completely.
DOIII Addai said, they received the disturbing call on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at about 3:11pm and responded.
He said the intensity of the fire was so strong that, officers who reported to the scene initially have to call for another fire reinforcement team to help.
“There were 14 rooms in the house. We did our best to save only there. The remaining 11 burnt completely, but we thank God no body died out of it”, he stressed in the interview monitored by filasconews.
He added that, the cause of the fire is yet to be identified.
