Punish politicians over ‘promise and fail’ not Prophets- IGP told

IGP, Mr. George Akuffo Dampare has been asked to punish politicians who made fake promises to their constituents during election time rather than logging horns with Prophets.

Ghana police in a dialogue with some religious bodies have deliberated on how churches must go about their operations especially in the area of prophecies.

The Inspector General of Police has therefore cautioned over doom prophecies ahead of this 31st night.

The police Chief has warned Religious heads to be measured in their ways of communicating prophecies in order to avoid infringement on people’s right.

But, reacting to this, in an interview with the press today, Friday, December 31, 2021, at about 6:00am, the Principal of Awesome Bible College at Asuofua-Akyease, Reverend Emmanuel Boakye is unhappy, stating that, the Inspector General of Police should stay away from church principles.

Rev. Emmanuel Boakye, who is also the Founder and Leader of Souls Pasture Church said, Mr. Akuffo Dampare should rather focus on arresting and punishing politicians who made promises to the people but have failed to fulfill them adding that is dangerous and kills many people than the so called fake prophecies.

The man of God however advised his colleague Pastors to be truthful in their deliverance and pronounce prophecy according to the holy spirit.

“The creator of Heaven and Earth will judge us according to our works, thus, we should not fake prophecy to creating fear and panic in people”, Rev. Boakye stressed.
