Kpandai Roman Catholic Church donates to Nkanchina lepers camp

The St Kizito parish Roman Catholic Church at Kpandai has donated items worth millions of Ghana Cedis to the leposy camp at Nkanchina in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region as part of the church’s responsibilities during Christmas.

The items include: Food items, sachet water, detergent, soft minerals, clothes and many more.

Speaking in an interview with newsman, Odehyeba Owusu Job, the Parish priest for St kizito parish church Kpandai, Rev. Fr. Francis Alsphusis said the church usually donate to the lepers with support from their donners and also use to celebrate the Christmas together with them. lepers that why this year too, with support from their donners once again came to donate to the lepers as their Christmas gift to the lepers.

The Fr. use the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to see lepers as human beings but shouldn’t neglect them in our societies.

He also called on individuals,NGOs, and other benuvellant Organizations to also come to support the lepers as the R/C Church.

Speaking with chairman of the camp, Mr CK Bawah and some of the lepers in an interview with Odehyeba Owusu Job thanked the R/C Church for coming to the aid and aslo expressed bitterly to Adom News some of the challenges they are facing at their camp and therefore calling on the government through the Ministry of Gender Children and Social protection and other NGOs and benuvelant organization to come to their aid as some of their colleagues die as a result of the challenges they were going through at the camp.


According to they lepers, they lack dresses, clothes, soap for bathing and washing, food, money and other material things.
