Aggrieved residents at Bouho, Nkukua Bouho in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti region who were hit by a quarry explosion in the area have declared war against two quarry companies for causing huge damages to their properties.
Numbered about 400, the residents are threatening to sue quarry companies to compensate them for damages caused and also ensure that due diligence is done during the blasting process.
According to the residents, the activities of the quarry companies have affected their health, some have contracted lung related diseases due to the excessive inhalation of dust.
Opinion leader Ex-WO1 Solomon Bediako called on the District Assembly to urgently come to their aid, and fix the roads in the area which are in a deplorable state.
