A/R: Students appeal to Gov’t for help as three pupils share single desk

Primary school students of Mpasaaso Nyamebekyere Basic School have appealed to government for immediate support as three students share a single desk to learn.

According to the students in an interview with the media said, three students are forced to patch themselves on single desk due to lack of chairs.

They revealed that the situation has made teaching and learning very difficult.

They are therefore appealing to the powers that be to come to their aid by providing them with chairs.

They also mentioned appauling classroom blocks as one of the major challenges facing the school.

A visit to the school exposed that, they learn under a very bad reckity structures. They want government to help them come out from these problems.

Asked whether their MP and DCE are aware of the situation, the Odikro of the Mpasaaso Nyamebekyere Community, in the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Nana Antwi Agyei said, they’ve complained to both of them but nothing came out of it.

“We’ve made a lot of attempts to get the situation solved through the help of the assembly and the MP for Ahafo South West but all have proven futile”, Nana added in the interview.

On his part, Hon. Isaac Mensah, the assembly member of the area said everything is not working for the school as their black boards,buildings, chairs, roofings etc. have all been ruined

He joined the call for immediate intervention from the government.
