I solicited for fund to restore Radio Gold reinstallment- JDM
Former President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that, he raised fund for the embattled Radio Gold for their reinstatement by the National Communication Authority (NCA) after years of shut down.
According to the Former President, the NCA has failed their duty and is now witch hunting some targeted radio stations in the country.
He said, the National Communication Authority is mandated to regulate stations but not to collapse them saying the shutting down of some radio stations was politically motivated move by the NCA and the Ministry of Communication to gag them.
He has therefore urged bodies such as the NCA to do their work fairly devoid from bias as the NDC during their term in office did not haunt any media station via NCA.
The Former President made these assertions on TV XYZ on Monday, November 8, 2021 ahead of his tour in the Greater Accra today, Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
