A father, Agya Kwaku Dagarti, 60, has shot dead his Sixteen (16) years old granddaughter, Abena Dagaati to death in the farm.
The incident happened yesterday, November 3, 2021 at Attakrom, a suburb of Nsawkaw in the Tain District of the Bono Region.
Brother to the deceased, Kwaku Dagaati speaking to a local reporter, Asonaba Nana Konadu said, the family went to the farm but unexpectedly, his 60yrs old father pulled out his gun and shot dead the granddaughter with no reason.
Kwaku added that, after shooting the innocent granddaughter to death, he attempted killing the other two, Kwaku and his mother, Madam Adwoa Dagaati but they were lucky to throw the spear and run out of the place.
“In the middle of the road after we took to our heels, I heard the sound of the gun again and when I returned to the scene to ascertain what actually was occurring, I saw my father also in the pool of blood. He had also shot himself dead”, Kwaku Dagaati disclosed to the reporter.
The wife, Madam Adwoa Dagaati is still in the state of shock as to why her long time married man could do such a thing without provocation.
The bodies have since been conveyed by the police and deposited at the Tain District Hospital Morgue.
