It is so disheartening how some ladies treat their babies all because they gave birth out of wedlock.
There have been numerous cases where babies are being found in trash bin, wells, and even gutters, abandoned by their mother for reasons best known to them.
A 2-month old baby boy has been dumped at Asonomaso in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region.
According to the Assembly Member of the area in an interview on Silver FM’s morning show, Hon. Kwadwo Appiah said, the heart breaking incident happened today, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the entrance of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) at Asonomaso.
He said, a church member who went to church today around 4:30am found the bouncing baby boy at the entrance of the church crying.
The assembly member said he was later called to the place together with the police to save the innocent child.
He added that, the baby had since been rescued and has been sent to the Mamponteng Social Welfare for protection and nurturing adding that the mother of the abandoned baby is yet to be identified.
“I’m optimistic the mother would not come from this community. She may be located in the nearby towns”, hon. Kwadwo Appiah revealed in that interview monitored by filasconews.
Meanwhile, police in the area have commenced investigation into the matter.
