A whole Community in Blackout after Thieves Dismantled their Transformer
Thieves have mantled the electricity transformer of a community, making residents living in total darkness.
A new site community of Sefwi Asafo in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of the western north region are now living in complete darkness as their 200kva electricity transformer worth about 50 to 70 thousand cedis dismantled by thieves around 12 midnight.
The assembly member of Asafo electoral, Hon. Robert Ebate Boah explained on Okyeame Radio’s Adekyee Mu Nsem chaired by Alhaji Quality that, the thieves destroyed the transformer in order to carry out their evil activity.
He said the area is currently in blackout and waiting for the experts from the Electricity Company of Ghana to repair as no quack electrician can reorganise it.
Hon. Boah opined that the community together with the ECG have reported the incident to the police for investigations however, Nananom won’t sit idle rather they will pour libation and perform rituals to their gods to expose the miscreants.
