A tenant and his two children have been shot by his landlord at Bremang in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The unfortunate incident happened on Monday, December 6, 2021, around 5:30pm.

Narrating the ordeal to Filasco DeGeneral today, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the 41 year old lucky tenant, Mr. Kusi Collins said, he was inside his room in the late hours of Monday and heard strange sound at the back of his windows.

When he came out to witness what was happening, he saw the self acclaimed landlord, Mr. Yaw Boafo brazing the vents and the entrance with red clothes (Koogyan) as a sign of forcibly evacuation.

The 41 year old taxi driver added that, during interrogation to ascertain what the land lord was doing, he hit him with a hammer.

The action attracted some neighbours to intervene and the landlord went inside his room.

He later came out from his room with a gun (long barrel gun locally called ‘tiaboofr3) and gave three shots straight at the tenant but he got a cover from the wall of the house.

Unluckily for him, his two minor children(name withheld) 8 and 6 years ages were hit by the gun and have been admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) emergency unit for operation to be conducted on them this morning.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested by the Bremang UGC police for investigation.
