Countries where Sun never sets and there is no night – God is wonderful

Kwaman and Tetrem is a farming community in the Afigya Kwabre South of the Ashanti region with a population of over 1000 respectively but lacks the requisite social amenities.

According to them, the lack of social amenities that can make their lives better like hospitals, good roads, place of convennience police station, and inadequate of school infrastructure have become their big challenge.

They further accused past and present governments especially the NPP government of neglecting them despite being part of Ghana and mostly vote for NPP.

They disclosed that, despite their Former MP who is now the security minister Hon Albert Kan Dapaah comes from their area, they are not safe and always attacked by armed robbers.

They revealed that communities like Kwamang, Tetrem and Kyekyewere are farming communities which produce large quantities of maize, cassava, plantain, Cocoa and other vegetables to feed the country but are deprived of better lives.

The residents are therefore calling on the government and their MP, Collins Adomako Mensah to come to their aid.

Adding his voice, the Abusuapanin of Kwamang Opanin Afriyie of Kwaman said the poor road network has dried up their working capital especially their roads that leads to their farms. He said, apart from the road that Link Ahenkro to Kwamang-Kyekyewere, there is no single road in the area.

“After working hard to produce maize we don’t get vehicles to transport them to the market due to poor roads network from our farms.”

He urged the DCE, Mr Acheamfour Karikari, to as a matter of urgency come to their aid and support these them.
