W/R: A 7 year old missing boy found dead in a pond
A seven-year old boy, Richard Awuni, who got missing on Tuesday afternoon has been found dead in a pond at Bassengley near Bibiani in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North region.
The Committee Chairman of Bassengley electoral area, Osei Mensah, gave an account on how the community mounted a search for the missing boy after the deceased father Kofi Awuni informed him of his missing son in the evening.
According to the chairman, their search for the boy on the day he got missing proved futile but he was found dead in a pond the next day.
He said with the police assistance, the body of the deceased was retrieved and sent to Bibiani Government hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation while investigation commences.
