NYINAWUSU: Victims families, Akoraboakrom residents threaten retaliation if…
The families of the five men, who were gruesomely murdered at Nyinawusu, in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region on Thursday, December 16, 2021, together with the residents of Akoraboakrom (the deceased persons town) have threatened to retaliate if authorities refuse to address their concerns as soon as possible.
Some of the grieved parents of the victims, speaking with Akwadaa Nyame at Akoraboakrom today, Thursday, 13th January, 2022, on Omanbapa Morning Show, hosted by Nana Ampratwum, affectionately called by his listeners as the Head of Medusa on a Kumasi based Silver FM disclosed that, since the unfortunate incident happened, and the cruelty meted out to their beloved relatives, authorities have failed to visit them.

According to them, they were expecting some words of encouragement from the powers that be, such as the DCE, the Police Commander, the Member of Parliament, the Chief and elders of Nyinawusu, where the incident occured and also some Government officials, none has fulfilled.
They expressed disappointment in the aforementioned leaders for failing to put themselves in their shoes.
Whether they’ve been briefed in any form by the police about the incident, they responded in a negative way, saying, as mothers and relatives to the deceased persons, they have not been involved in any way.
They have sent a warning to the authorities, signaling that, reprisal attack is bound to happen if the right thing is not done in the meantime.
“They have killed our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers and some are walking free.
The authorities have neglected us, but we are telling them that, if they fail to do what is needful, we will also revenge and the mate will escalate worsely”, the community members, dressed in red clothes and black with red arm band together with the relatives unearths in the interview monitored by filasconews.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer of the Police, DSP Godwin Ahianyo in response to the issue in a telephone interview with Filasco Degeneral said, the police have taken the matter serious and at least two suspects have been arrested to assist the police in investigation.
