Central Regional Airport To Be Built At Komenda – Minister
The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan has announced that the Proposed Central Regional Airport Project will be constructed at Komenda.
The Central Regional Minister Hon. Justina Marigold Assan said the project will definitely change the face of the region, creating jobs and to enhance effective economic impactions.
She made this assurance during stakeholders engagement on the Development of the Airport Project at the Central Regional Coordinating Council in Cape Coast.
She therefore thanked the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for listening to the plight of the good people in Central Region for the construction of the Airport, made mention in 2020 by the Vice President Dr. Bawumia at the the University of Cape Coast.
Engineer Leslie Alex Ayeh, of Ayeh Consultancy, said visibility studies was done to find out that Komenda site is suitable for the Airport Project.
Also, compensation will be paid for owners of the land where properties were damaged and engagement with communities will be done to ensure peaceful cooperation with Nananom of the lands.
