Ahafo Region: Food stuffs rotten at Seinua due to deplorable roads;chiefs urge gov’t to intervene
The Chiefs and People of New Sawereso (Seniua), a farming communities in Asunafo South District of Ahafo Region have made passionate appeal to the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area and President Nana Akufo Addo to fix their deplorable road linking Asumura-Seinua and Nakete -Seinua.
The Sanaahene of Kukuom Traditional Council who doubles as the Chief of Seinua, Nana Agyemang Duah Katakyie (II), told journalists today, November 29, that the bad state of road networks in the area is really affecting the people.
He said, seeking for medical care from health facilities for pregnant women and sick patients is a major challenge to them adding that food stuffs are also rotten due to lack of vehicular accessibility in the community.
“Cocoa beans have been stucked in the bush not excluding foodstuffs such as vegetables, plantation produce are rotten because drivers fear damaging their vehicles on the road. They drop us at some points and left our goods in the muddy”, Nana stressed.
