Patients Are Our Customers, Treat Them Well- Health Director Advises Health Workers

“Be committed and work with any patient and know that they are your customers” – Municipal Health Directorate urged health workers.

The Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipal Health Directorate Mr. Oheneba Darko has that , the main purpose behind the world Hypertension Day is to promote public awareness of Hypertension and to encourage citizen all countries to prevent and control the silent killer.

Speaking to the Media during the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Health Directorate held this year’s world Hypertension Day celebration in Bibiani in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality with the theme:” Zero tolerance for stroke”.

Mr. Oheneba Darko further urged individuals and other organisations to collaborates with them to continue increase the awareness of Hypertension, adding that, the measures have put in place for health workers to know that any patients are their customer.

Again, the Western North Regional Health Directorate Mr. Kingsley Osei Kwakye also explained that, every morning the nurses are there to educate the public and increase awareness of Hypertension to help any patients to know foods that may regulate Hypertension .

He advised the public to register the National Health insurance policy to reduce their hospital bills while saving their money.

The Municipal Chief Executive , (MCE) Hon. Alfred Amoah highlighted on the essence of the Hypertension Day celebration, saying there are certain ways of managing and reducing the risk of Hypertension by reducing alcohol consumption, making change to your diet and exercising daily can go along way in managing.

Some students also shared their views on what they have learnt from the Hypertension Day celebration.
