Akwasi Adusei, 37, found hanging on a cross bar with nylon
A MAN, believed to be 37 years old, has been found hanging from a rope on a cross bar in his room, in what appears to be a suicide case.
The deceased, identified as Akwasi Adusei, was reportedly found hanging on a cross bar with a yellow-looking nylon around 5:30pm on April 1, 2023.
The late Adusei, the police pointed out, did not leave behind any suicide note to determine what influenced him to end his life in that weird manner.
Also, the police said there were no marks of assault on the body of the deceased, to prove that perhaps some people killed him and hanged his body.
According to the sister of the deceased Gifty Adusei, the heartbreaking incident happened at Adwumakaase in the Ashanti Region.
A police document disclosed that police personnel quickly rushed to the crime scene after Gifty had reported Adusei’s death at the police station.
“Police proceeded to the scene and found the body of a male adult, aged 37 years, hanging on a cross bar with a yellow nylon rope with his knees bend and touching the ground whilst his fingers were clinched.
“His tongue was found pulled out and also had defecated on himself”, the police report indicated, adding that the deceased was dressed in a pair of black trousers.
The police said the lifeless body was removed and thoroughly inspected but no marks of violence or assault was found on it to suggest any foul play.
Adusei’s body has since been deposited in a mortuary at the Methodist Faith Healing Hospital for autopsy and preservation, as police investigations continue.
