VIDEO: 7 in critical condition after near-fatal accident at Bonwire
Seven(7) people are in critical condition after an accident at Bonwire in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The accident occured on February 11, 2023.
Eye witnesses told Filasconews.com that, a Toyota Nissan(TD) vehicle with registration number GR 6763-09 failed break, and veered off the main road at Bonwire.
The driver turned the vehicle’s direction into a plantation on the road side, hitting electricity pole erected in the plantation.
The pole fell on the car, injuring the seven people including the driver in the car.
The residents around quickly rushed to the accident scene to rescue the victims trapped inside the car by the pole.
Six out of the seven victims are receiving treatment at the Bonwire Saviour Community Clinic, while the driver of the Toyota Nissan was transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for emergency treatment due to the extent of his injuries.
