NPP presidential candidate hopeful fulfills promise made to market women at Racecourse
Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has fulfilled his promise made to the market women at Racecourse in the Ashanti Region.
During his visit to the market women at Racecourse in 2022, the NPP 2024 Presidential candidate hopeful promised to deliver streets light bulbs to brighter the market center at night after the market women through their queen mother, Ohemaa Kyeiwaa made a humble appeal to him.
On behalf of the market women, the Queen mother Nana Kyeiwaa said the place becomes insecure to trade or walk at night due to lack of streets light bulbs in the market which make the area suitable for criminals to carry out their criminal activities.
In order to curb the insecurity at the market, Hon Kennedy Agyapong made a pledge to supply street bulbs for them.
He also assured them that, he will take the cost of the fixing of the bulbs by the electrical engineers.
However, the bulbs together with all the materials were provided. He has also employed electrical engineers to fix the bulbs. Now, Racecourse Traders can do their trading even at night.
The market women have therefore praised him and wished him well on his dream to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.
They also appealed to him to help construct the road from Adehyeman to Racecourse for them.
