Christmas Festivities: New Juaben South MP visits former NPP polling station executives

The member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi has advised former polling station executives and electoral area coordinators in his constituency not to consider themselves as “outcasts.”

The lawmaker made the call on Thursday in a separate Interaction with the immediate past executives at their individual homes aimed at championing unity as the party prepares for 2024 general elections.

Michael Okyere Baafi required the immediate past executives to collaborate with the newly elected party executives to ensure a winning run for the party in the constituency.

Michael Okyere Baafi commenced his tour on Thursday, 29th December, 2022, at around 11:00pm throughout the night till 4:00am on Friday.

The New Juaben South MP mentioned that though his visit on Thursday was first of its kind but promised to engage them often to discuss the future of the party towards achieving the breaking the 8 mantra.

His massage to the former executives he visited was to bury their differences and work assiduously for the party to chalk a landslide victory in the 2024 general election.

This, he urged them to intensify their political campaigns in order to break the eight-year jinx which both the governing NPP and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had not been able to achieve since 1992.

Michael Okyere Baafi believes ‘breaking the eight’ should be the ultimate objective of both old and new leadership of the party especially in the New Juaben South constituency of the Eastern Region.

According to the MP, most politicians who could not emerge victorious in the party election withdraw their commitment and effort towards the development of the party adding that the old executives should do away with resentment that may not help the party.

“I will ask those who are out of power to collaborate with the new executives so that we can all work together to keep the party in power in the constituency. No one should think he is exempted from the executive so nothing of NPP concerns him. I call for united leadership to move the party forward in the constituency”, he urged.

The Member of Parliament also made a donation of a package to all the former executives he visited.
