Sad news as Ghana loses Hiplife artist

Ghanaian artiste Nana Lyttle died on Wednesday, December 28, 2022

Hiplife artiste Nana Lyttle has died.

According to his brother Dr Precious Jewel Tubman, alias Nana Queen, he passed away onWednesday, December 28, 2022, around 6:30 PM, at the Achimota Hospital.

He made the announcement on Facebook and requested for “contributions… to sort out the rest of the bills, and for the funeral and burial.”

On Tuesday, Nana Queen had informed his Facebook following that his brother had collapsed on Saturday, December 24, and had been sent to the Achimota Hospital. He indicated that he was in “critical condition” and they were in dire need of financial help “while he is still alive.”

Nana Lyttle, otherwise known asRonney Sunney Nana Kwame Bentum,was famed for his ‘Naa Kwaley’ hit from the early 2000s.

In commiserating, Ghanaian record producerWei Ye Otenghas shared on Facebook how he helped create the song.

“Wow this is a blow,” he wrote. “I took the vocals and recorded the guitar sessions with Ackah Blay on this only hit song. May he rest well.”

Radio and TV personalitySamuel Atuobi Baah, alias Sammy Baah Flex, wrote: “Sad [sad emoji].Story of a budding musician… May he RIP[tombstone emoji].”

The cause of Nana Lyttle’s death has not been disclosed.
