Food safety campaign looks positive ahead of the Christmas festivity – FDA Manager

Eastern Regional Manager for Food And Drugs Authority, Anita Owusu Kuffour has indicated that the campaign on food safety in the regions is yielding positive results.
The food safety campaign is to create awareness for consumers to purchase quality food items from the market.
Speaking with Kaakyire Kwasi Afari of Afeema FM, madam Anita Owusu Kuffor said the authority is engaging in public education and sensitization on food safety across the region.
She said the campaign is a periodic exercise embarked by FDA to sanitize the market to help consumers buy proper goods.
She cautioned the public against buying expired products from the market.
Anita Owusu Kuffour advised buyers to scrutinize can and sealed foods from the market before buying them.
