49-year-old man arrested for bathing with blood; says it was a direction
A Herbalist Told Me To Bath With Blood Because Of My Spiritual Problems —Suspect Says.
Ganiyu Shina, a 49-year-old man who was recently arrested after he was spotted bathing with blood at a community river, in Kotopo area of Odeda Local Government.
When he was spotted during the act, he took to his heels and was chased by residents, who eventually caught him and handed him over to the police.
But speaking during interrogation, he stated that the reason why he performed such ritual was to get rid of a spiritual problem that has been bothering him.
According to the suspect, he once visited a herbalist to seek help with a spiritual issue. The herbalist then inform him that in order to solve the problem, he must perform the ritual of bathing with a blood. He, however, insisted that the blood he was spotted with was gotten from a cow and not from a human.
Commenting on the issue, the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, stated that he has directed that the remaining blood be taken for laboratory analysis.
