Yakubu Amadu, 32, who is thought to be of Fulani descent, was murdered by five suspects at Loagri, a neighborhood of Walewale in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region, for allegedly letting his cattle graze on a land where there were beans being grown.

The incident took place on November 28, 2022, after the suspects spoke with the deceased about how his animals had destroyed farmland.

An eyewitness revealed that the suspects apprehended the deceased and asked him to lead them to his father so they can settle the case there, but the deceased took to his heels after he agreed that he will lead them to his father.

The suspects after beating up Yakubu Amadu for his refusal to take them to his father were later dragged to the Walewale police station by the suspects but they were asked by the police to send him to the hospital for medical attention.
