Majority caucus will not support motion of censure against Finance Minister – Afenyo Markin
The Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament and MP for Effutu Hon Alexander Afenyor Markin has served clear notice to the Minority caucus that the Majority caucus of Parliament will not support the Motion for Censure on the Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta which was moved in the House by the Minority.
Afenyor Markin made the comment in Parliament when some Minority Members such as Haruna Iddrisu the Minority Leader , urged Parliament to act quickly on the Ad Hoc committee’s report on the motion and bring finality to the matter.
The Ad hoc Committee which sat to hear the allegations levelled against the Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta has already submitted its report to the House which is yet to be considered.
Afenyor Markin described the motion of censure as a political and propaganda motion hence the Majority caucus will vote against it.
