Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah Inducted As The Diocesan Chancellor, Anglican Diocese Of Kumasi

Lay Canon Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah has been inducted as the Diocesan Chancellor for the Anglican Diocese, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The colourful Ceremony took off at the St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church Auditorium at Amakom, Kumasi, on Sunday, 30th October 2022.

The Diocesan Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Kumasi, Rt. Rev’D Oscar Christian Amoah led the induction processes.

Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah was inducted as the Diocesan Chancellor alongside two other personalities also as Registrar and the Assistant Registrar. Lawyer Francis Koffie and Her Honour Afia Owusuaa Appiah(Mrs.) respectively.

Speaking to the media after his induction as the Diocesan Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese, Kumasi, Lay Canon Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah expressed gratitude to the Anglican church for the faith posed in him to take the seat as the Chancellor and also thanked the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev.’D Oscar as well as the whole congregants.

He took over from the former Diocesan Chancellor/Atipinhene, Lay Canon Oheneba Agyeman Badu.

Lay Canon Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah said he is prepared to taking the mantra as the Diocesan Chancellor and promised to leaving an example foot step for future Chancellors to follow and to be remembered by the church members in his retired days as Chancellor.

He opined that he will work hand in hand with the past Chancellor and all the leaders to deliver the best to the Anglican Diocese, Kumasi and Ghana as a whole.

Capabilities

He elaborated that, God knows he can do the work hence his appointment by the leaders of the Church as the Diocesan Chancellor.

He continued that he will continue the good works fo his predecessor and do his best to lift high the spirit of the church during his tenure, saying his doors would be open to all.

He said can do the work and he will do it to the best interest of the church not his parochial interest.

Lawyer Kwame Asiedu-Basoah used the occasion to advice all Ghanaians to support each other in times of need and worship only the Almighty God.

The occasion was witnessed by many dignitaries within and outside the region.
