In an exclusive interview with TV XYZ and Power Fm’s reporter Emmanuel Adjetey , Mr Shehu Ibrahim who is the country’s project director for the NGO explain that, the main reason why they as (NGO) took this initiative as Lunch Box School feeding Program is to feed twenty five (25) schools in Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, Volta and Ashanti region , to ensure school children have access to nutritious meal in school also we believe food can serve as a tool to bring back drop out students back into school.
He further said, their main focus as an NGO is to take this mantle to support schools that are currently not under government school feeding programs, most especially private schools to enable students who could not make it to school based on financial instability to purchase their own food , whenever they experience pure hunger that can not be controlled by these students, makes them to absent themselves from school .
He also took this advantage to thank all their sponsors GFN , UAE Aid for making it possible and also our donors Danone for making this donation towards our lunch box school feeding program.
