INTERESTING: Top NPP member attempted slapping Lands Minister at RCC

Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor recently escaped from the claws of a New Patriotic Party(NPP) bigwig who are had openly tried slapping him over his renewed efforts in the galamsey fight.

The incident according to Broadcast Journalist with Kumasi-based Angel Fm Alhaji Tanko was reported to have happened at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council where the Minister and the said NPP official came face-to-face.

Though Alhaji Tanko refused to mention the name of the furious NPP official, it is gathered that he is a businessman who claims to have financed the party and angry the Minister through his latest directive in halting all illegal mining activities is collapsing his business.

In the account of the journalist who spoke to the incident, the timely intervention of some persons at the scene saved the Minister from slaps.

“I am speaking on authority because I have the full facts. Some people at the scene saved the Minister from slaps and it would have happened at the Regional Coordinating Council in Kumasi. The person asked the Minister when he came into NPP and his contributions to the financing of the party”, he narrated.

The person he added, described the Minister as a ‘small boy’ who is determined to collapse his business when it is from the same he finances the party.

“When did you come into the party, how much money of your party has been used to run the party? You small boy want to disgrace me and collapse my business”, the journalist quoted the person to have said.
