Leverage on Technology To Explore Your Business – Professional Photographers Told
The NPP Constituency Youth Organizer for New Juaben North in the Eastern region, Mr. Samuel Osei Sarkodie, [SOS] has admonished professional photographers to leverage on Technology to compete with the current advanced digital global world.
Mr. Samuel Osei Sarkodie who was a guest speaker at the inauguration of a 12 member executives of Koforidua branch, of the Ghana Union Of Professional Photographers on 21st September, 2022, spoke to Afeema FM’s journalist, Kaakyire Kwasi Afari at Koforidua.
The young entrepreneur said, a Photographer who takes advantage of advanced technology would create more opportunities and income to sustain his skilled profession.
Samuel Osei Sarkodie indicated that the world has entered an era of Digitalization where new technologies can provide an attractive basis for growth, innovation and differentiation where every profession is transforming therefore, it is essential to utilize modern technology to become skillful and grow more efficiently.
The Constituency Youth Organizer also advised that with the right tools, Photographers can adapt to their changing business needs, customer service and attract more customers as far as the photography business is concerned.
Preparing for the future, especially from a financial standpoint, the best way for the Union Members to do is through budget planning, he said.
He admonished that, it’s critical for individuals or a group to draw a comprehensive budget before responding to an occasion they are asked to photograph to forecast their revenue and expenses to ensure they remain profitable.

Mr. Sarkodie charged them to also ensure proper branding especially, their dressing to occasions and adopt partnering with event organizers to reach out to more customers at their areas.
For his part, the secretary of the Koforidua Union Of Professional Photographers, Mr. Halm Abgadza told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that the Koforidua Union is poised to establish a training center to train and educate the young ones into the profession.
This, he said, the Theme for the event “The role of skills development in Ghana’s TVET Agenda” was key as they envisioned to create jobs for the unemployed youth in Koforidua through Technical, Vocational Education and Training.
When asked about the effect of social media and phones for taking photographs on their business, Halm Abgadza, refuted by saying it has caused no threat to their business emphasizing that, there is a vast gap of satisfactory between well trained and unskilled Photographer.
