Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has condemned the conduct of one of its city guards, Bright Agyei.
In a press release from the Assembly sighted by Filasconews.com on Friday, September 16, 2022, KMA stated that, it wholely condemns the uncalled for act meted out to a trader(hawker) at the Central Business District(CBD), Adum.
Bright Agyei, a personnel of the phased -out Community Protection Agency (CPA) on Thursday, September 16, 2022, physically assaulted a female trader at the Central Business District in Kumasi.
A video of the distasteful incident has since gone viral, reaching the doorsteps of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
The immediate release signed by the Coordinating Director of KMA, Mr. Kwadwo Akuamoah Boateng reads in part:
“Management condemns that act and dissociates itself from such an unwarranted behaviour.
As a first aid measure, the assaulted woman has been sent to the hospital for treatment and has since been discharged”.
