A Kumawood actor and comedian Felix Nana Yeboah has landed himself in trouble over an expensive joke he made recently. The comedian who always exhibit feminine mannerisms took to Facebook to pull the legs of agitating teachers who are on strike over cost of living allowance.

Nana Yeboah questioned the rationale behind the strike. He asked if the teachers will still receive their salaries when they are on strike or not? He called out the teachers and asked government to replace all of them because there are thousands of teachers awaiting employment.

Nana Yeboah also accused teachers of sexually harassing students under their care. He said he went to a particular place to shoot a movie and discovered that 6 students in the town had been impregnated by their teachers. He asked if impregnating students is part of their curriculum.

But the actor got it all wrong as many Facebookers descended heavily on him. Many people said he knew not what he was saying. While others attacked his mannerisms. Yet many want him to come out publicly to apologise for the comments he made.

But the government didn’t close down the schools because of teacher strike. It is rather to protect the children. Now teachers are doing more than the contact hours to cover up for the lost period. If he knows nothing about education, he should sleep.”

Gombia Peter. “Well spoken my brother we are sick a tired of Ghanaian teachers everyday demonstrations.”

It will be recalled that four teacher unions namely National Association of Graduate Teachers, Ghana National Association of Graduate Teachers, Coalition of Concerned Teachers and Teachers and Education Workers Union embarked on a nationwide strike. This was after government had failed to meet their demand for cost of living allowance (COLA). The government has since engaged the striking teachers and organised labour to calm down nerves. But the teachers insist until their demands are met, they won’t go back to the classrooms.
