The National Cathedral is not a Saviour, listen to the People- His Eminence Apostle Godbless

His Eminence, Apostle Godbless Boateng, Leader and Founder of Cornerstone Bible Church International, with its Headquarters at Ayigya in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region, has stated that, the much touted construction of the National Cathedral would not be saviour to the country, Ghana.

According to Apostle Boateng in an interview on Monday, June 20, 2022, on Silver FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show hosted by Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, advised the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to consider putting the needs of the people first before any other thing.

Majority of Ghanaian citizens are speaking against the building of the National Cathedral by the current government, as promised by the leader of the country, His Excellency Nana Addo to build a house for the Lord as part of his campaign promise.

The people are calling on the President to either drop it or use his personal money to fund its building as he promised God personally and not in the name of the state.

Meanwhile, a Former General Secretary of Christian Council of Ghana, Dr. Rev. Opuni Frimpong has also kicked against using state coffers to cover the National Cathedral’s building.

To him, the President should allow the Christians to fund and build it themselves.

However, reacting to these brouhaha surrounding the funding and the building of the Cathedral on Silver FM, monitored by today, His Eminence Apostle Godbless Boateng disclosed that, the current state of the economy and the living standard of the people does not support using state money to building the National Cathedral.

He agreed that, the President should consider dropping dropping it for now or fund  it himself.
