Prosecute The ‘Happy Trigger’ Police Officers- Security Consultant To Dampare
Mr. Richard Kumodoe, Security Consultant has praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. George Akuffo Dampare for his Swift action over the Islamic Senior High School incident on Monday, June 13, 2022, in Kumasi.
The IGP has removed the Ashanti Regional Deputy Commander of Police while two other top officers have also been interdicted in connection with the Islamic SHS.
The police used tear gas at the rioting students on Monday.
This according to the police Chief, goes contrary to their professional standard hence, his action.
Reacting to the issue on a Kumasi based Silver FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show hosted by Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, the Security Consultant, Mr. Kumodoe said, the IGP has done what Ghanaians were expecting from him and is a plus for him.
But to him, the best way to remove the bad nut police officers is prosecution.
“The IGP has done well and I applaud him for that but he should he should dig deep and prosecute those happy Trigger’.
Put them in jail”, Mr. Kumodoe stressed on the show monitored by Filasconews.com.
He believe this will serve as a deterrent and deter others from repeating Same.
