IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Foreign Affairs Ministry Bans All Travels To This Region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration is advising against all travels to the Gao Region of Northern Mali.

The decision according to the ministry comes in the wake of the recent abductions and executions of travelers especially Christians (including Ghanaians) in the Gao Region of Northern Mali.

A release dated 17th May, 2022, from the ministry and sighted by Filasconews.com reads in parts: ” Ghanaians in the Gao Region of Northern part of Mali also advised to leave immediately for their safety and security”.
