Buokrom Estate inferno: Over ten stores, undisclosed amount of cedis burnt into ashes

At least, ten (10) stores have been burnt down into ashes to inferno at Buokrom Estate, B Line park opposite Baptist Church in the Manhyia North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The unfortunate incident happened today, Friday, December 10, 2021 at about 7:30am.

Unit Committee Chairman of the area, Mr. Farisu Musah Popularly known as Osama in an interview with Filasco DeGeneral said, Fire Service and NADMO interventions couldn’t save the destroyed properties and millions of Cedis left in the shops.

The burnt stores include enormous warehouses and shops such as saw mill, carpentry work shop, provision stores and many more.

A fitting shop close to the area of the incident wasn’t spared by the fire.

Chairman Fari Musa a.k.a Osama in an interview with Filasco DeGeneral praised a water company called: Atimbila Ousman Water Company for his immediate support to douse the fire before the arrival of the fire  service personnels.

He stressed that, the funds lost to the inferno amount to billions of Ghana cedis.

Sharing his taught on the cause of the fire, Mr. Farisu Musah suspected an un-control fire by a nearby resident in the area as the course of the inferno.

However, the Safety Officer and the Public Relations Director of the Ashanti Regional Fire Service, DOIII Addai Peter has told Filasco DeGeneral that, the fire had come under control but the service is yet to officially ascertain the root cause of the inferno.
