43% Of Ghanaians Are Obese- Health Expert
Health Expert has revealed that, 43% of Ghanaians are obesity.
According to her, most of these cases are caused by poor eating habits.
Speaking on Silver FM’s morning show in Kumasi, Mrs. Linda Opoku Antoh added that, people do not eat on good times, citing example as, ‘we don’t have to eat whiles going to bed”.
She said, there should be interval between the time you eat, especially heavy foods like Fufu, Banku, Kokonte and others, and your sleep.
“When you eat, wait till the food digest completely by the body before you to bed”, she told the host of the program, Nana Ampratwum, monitored by filasconews.com.
Obesity is generally caused by eating too much and moving too little. If you consume high amounts of energy, particularly fat and sugars, but do not burn off the energy through exercise and physical activity, much of the surplus energy will be stored by the body as fat.
This, the health Expert, Mrs. Opoku Antoh has called on all to adopt the habbit of personal exercise or training to burn excess fats in the body.
