GREATER ACCRA REGION NHIA HOLDS ANNUAL REVIEW MEETING

Greater Accra Region of the National Health Insurance Authority has held its annual performance review yesterday in Accra.

This meeting was held to assess their performance in the year 2021 and how they can improve upon their good work and correct errors that occurred so that moving forward the Region can achieve its set targets and expand membership coverage.

Speaking to participants made of District Managers, Monitoring and Evaluating Officers as well as the Regional management team, the Regional Director of Greater Accra Region; Bernard Nii Anyaa Brown explained that apart from the performance assessment, the meeting was also to equip their M& E officers and District Managers on current update concerning claims management, credentialing as well as quality assurance issues.

Nevertheless, all administrative offices are supposed to work in accordance with standard operational procedures which enables us to work efficiently without leaving any bad traits even if third party intervenes into our managerial affairs for spy or monitoring.

He therefore assured all participants at the meeting to impact what they’ve learnt to all other staff for an improve monitoring and evaluation activities.

Even though the Region were not able to meet it set target in the management of Covid 19 the Region was able to achieved 80% of its target of the year under review, surprisingly measures are already in place for linking NHIS card to the Ghana card whereas very soon people can go to hospital with their Ghana card without necessarily visiting the hospital with NHIS card.
