JUST IN: Fulani Herdsmen given 2-weeks to leave to their hometowns
The Chiefs and people of Ejura have given Fulani Herdsmen in the area, Two Weeks to leave.
According to the Ejura Traditional Council in their earlier press statement, fulanis in their jurisdiction have destroyed 100s of farm lands and produce in over 25 communities.
The Traditional leaders also mentioned robberies, terrorising residents especially farmers with guns, and at some points, rapping and killing women in the process.
Based on these and many more, the Traditional Council has set up Land Management Committee, and tasked them to visit all affected communities and come out with their findings.
The Committee is chaired by the Mawerhene of Ejura Traditional Council, Oheneba Owusu Bekoe.
However, the Chief of Ejura, Barima Osei Hwedie (ii) has said, they have given the Herdsmen a 2-week ultimatum to vanish from their lands else, the red card would be given to them by Nananom themselves.
“The situation is bad on my land and we sit aloof to allow these to keep deteriorating the people of Ejura.
Therefore, we have given them the aforementioned period to vacate our jurisdiction”, Nana Osei Hwedie (ii) told Nana Ampratwum on Omanbapa morning show on Silver FM monitored by filasconews.
